Biography

I have recently joined Gene Expression lab as a PhD student. During my PhD, I will focus on studying the role of glial cells in the progression of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) using Single cell expression profiling mainly RNA sequencing and RT-qPCR techniques. I have obtained MSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania. I was focusing on the morphological behavior of microglia cells, brain macrophages under thermal stress. I have also obtained knowledge of expression of G- coupled protein receptors on retinal microglia cells using immunohistochemical analysis. Apart from this I enjoy traveling, dancing and sometimes painting.
