MSc. Dominika Dostálová

Biography

My name is Dominika Dostálová and I have been part of Lukas’ team from autumn 2022, when I started my PhD study. During the study I will work on the heterogeneity of microglia in acute and neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system. My motivation for regeneration and immunology was deepened by my master study of Immunology at Charles University and a diploma thesis focusing on the effect of the nanoparticles on the functional and regeneration potentials of mesenchymal stem cells. The diploma thesis offered me lots of wet laboratory skills, but methods involved in PhD thesis will also cover data processing which will broaden my horizons in interpretation of results in a science context. Little bit about my hobbies – I like spending time in the fresh air by hiking or cycling. Now I am starting a little bit with crocheting.
